This is Beyond's fifteenth album and also their last studio album as original three piece band. The album has no Mandarin title but just English title "Goodtime", just like in "Paradise" album. The album slightly return to guitar orientated sound. As in their previous two albums (Surprise and Until You Are Here), the album represented Beyond hyper modern era.

"Good Time" is nice alternative rock song with lots of guitar explorations. The English chorus lyric is quite memorable. "失蹤 Missing" is also a strong song with nice guitar chopped rhythm. "錯有錯著 By Chance" is also not bad, the bluesy guitar lead in the intro is welcome by old time listener, indeed the song is quite old-times in style. "洗衣粉 Washing Power" is harder song, again very close to their Paradise-era. The album close with "hidden" track, "Evolution". It started after few seconds of silence.

Goodtime is actually quite strong album with all three members begin to employed their rock roots. Unfortunately this is also their farewell album. The band still released Live album after this.

Until You Arrive / 不見不散 is Beyond's 14 studio album, sing mainly in Cantonese and released in December 1998. The album continued Beyond ultra modern sounds. Leave little trace of what done in Paradise album, which itself still very connected to Wong Ka Kui's era. Starting their previous album (Surprise) and this one, Beyond already left their root many miles behind.

The opening track "Sunday 星期天" is calm pop-rock style song. "犧牲 Sacrifice" is quite acoustic in mood. The upbeat song is "蚊 Mosquito", where the guitar riffs is very alternative rock in style. While "時日無多 Last Day" is a recalled of bluesy-rock guitar play. The harder song is "扯火 Fury" with at least leading distortion to be heard. The title song "不見不散 Until You Arrive" is quite ambient techno rock song. The album finished with instrumental "Phantom Power" with some slapping funky bass line and finally guitar solos.

This is Beyond 13 studio albums. Notable in this album is the inclusion of additional guitar player Huang Zhongxian and Liu Zhiyuan. Huang is respected HK's session guitarist, while Liu Zhiyuan is actually Beyond's early band mate.

Surprise is full of surprise as an album. The whole sounds turns out to be more pop-rock, alternative rock and electronic music. Most thick in Deep 深 song. 驚喜 Surprise in other side is quite acceptable in style and become one of the album's popular song. Tsing Ma Bridge is instrumental, and 緩慢 Slow (Latency) is later released in 1998 album due to popularity.

This album also released in Mandarin version titled as "Here and There 這裡那裡" 1998.

In 1997, Beyond released "Please Let Go of Your Hands". It is the 12th studio album by them. The music is largely diverse from the three album post-Wong Ka Kui (Paradise, Sound, Love & Life). They are even more modern-rock sounding, the first track "Era" (大時代) is kind of industrial-rock. The most popular would be "Preparation" (預備 , or "Ready"), which going to be played frequently in their concert. The title song "Please Let Go of Your Hands" ( 請將手放開) is also popular, still kind of connected with their lost. The heaviest song is "Huuh! Still talk about it?" (吓，講乜野話？).  "Anaesthesia" (麻醉 ) is the only song that kind of reminded us into old '80-'90 Beyond song, with its soft rock ballad setting.

This album enjoy their late '90 Beyond success, but this is it, where the sign of popularity declined begin to show. This may be the last Beyond album that still widely await by mainstream fans.

Immediately after the success of Paradise (1994), Beyond followed with Sound in 1995. This album was their new testing ground. The band fly to Los Angeles to recorded, and the it was mixed in Vancouver, Canada. After the album done, Beyond do a concert in Hong Kong Cultural Center and it was broadcast live to major shopping center in Hong Kong.

Musically the album heavily influenced by arising "grunge" era in the US. Wong Kui Chung's guitar are very dominant. Surely the album much heavier than ever before, hence the title "Sound". The first tracks "Iron Monkey" is a drum solo by Yip. Then the song "Corrupt the Young" is their single, in which the guitar riffs are memorable. Another heavy song is "Sound" which is also has memorable bass-riff in the intro. Both songs are quite frequent in Beyond concert list afterward. "Animal Fight" is also heavy metal in style. The mellow songs consists of many popular hits "Crack", "Cryin'", "Emotions", all close to their fans as memorium to Wong Ka Kui.

Some of the songs are available in Mandarin version with slightly different lyrics. This album comes in Mandarin version called "Love & Life", which is focus to mellow and ballad styles.

This is basically the Cantonese version of Paradise (Mandarin album). The first album after the death of Wong Ka Kui. The theme of WKK’s death dominance the whole album. This is also the only notable album where the Mandarin version is much more popular than its Cantonese version. The hit is of course "Paradise". Full review can be read on the Mandarin version, here. 2nd Floor Back Suite is Beyond's house in Mong Kok area  in Hong Kong. The Japanese version also produced base on this album.

Wong Ka Kui last studio album, the ninth Cantonese studio album. This is by far their most accomplished album with all songs become a nostalgic hits. Notably "Haiko TianKong (Sea & Sky)", "Baba Mama", "Lover" etc. The first opening song "I'm Angry" is a heavy metal one, back to their early year spirit.  As the album title suggest, this is a really rock and roll album. Some of the songs here are translated into the mandarin version in album "Sea & Sky".

Beyond eight Cantonese album. Contained their all time hits such as  "The Great Wall (Zhang Sang)" etc. The album done in popular rock, notable is "Arrogance / 不可一世 (Mandarin=今天就做 Do It Today)"  which the guitar riff  intro is very memorable. Also "Could We Break Through? 可否冲破" is also rock feel. Eventually the majority of the album is pop-rock.

This is the only album that got all three version, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese version. Kitaro is also credit for arranging some of the song. The Mandarin version for this is called “Belief”.

Their seventh Cantonese album. By this point, Beyond also already released two Mandarin albums. This album has many movie soundtracks as a result of Beyond popularity. The sure hits is "Amani". Beyond went into Africa tour, this song inspired by they journey. The lyric, Amani Nakupenda Wewe mean 'I love you, peace' in Swahili language.

The second hits is "Bat Zoi Jau Jyu / Deliberate", which sung by all four member of the band. "Seoi Bun Ngo Cong Dong - Who Battle With Me", is taken from their own movie, Beyond's Diary. "Hot Party" is from Beyond's Summer Holiday documentary movie. The last popular song is "Jyun Cyun Dik Jung Jau / Fully Owned".

Beyond has reachs their star dome era, this album catapulted their fame. Glorious Days (Gwong Fai Seoi Jyut  / Guangfei Shui Ye) was inspired by Nelson Mandela. The mandarin version is titled as “Glorious Days”, they shared the same lyric. This song is their strongest song. Other hits are Dependent Hearts (Soeng Ji Dik Sam), People Who Don't Understand Environment (this title hardly can't translate correctly), Victorious Against Personal Demon (Zin Sing Sam Mo). Three of them has a nice guitar chops from Paul Wong. Even the bonus song are familiar, Wen Wu Yingjie Declaration.

Other good songs that rarely heard is Known (Hak Zi Dou), a song with rebellious lyric by Wong Ka Kui. Then Give Face and Satan's Curse.

This album still built up on hard rock feel.

This is their fifth Cantonese album, which is considered their first major breakthrough. The song Silent Years (Shuiye Wushen) is their number one hit nation wide. The song remained the same in Mandarin version. The other hits songs are Interweave One Thousand Heart (Gaau Zik Cin Go Sam)  and Midnight Blues. This is the album where Beyond's best keep secret song existed, Dawn of the New World (Jung Cong San Sai Gaai), in which the song is their heaviest, double pedal, galloping riffs and shredding neo classical licks, just like Yngwie Malmsteen style. The other potential songs that quickly familiar to ears are Tomorrow's World (Ming Jat Sai Gaii), and Who is Brave ? (Seoi Si Jung Gam) .

Their fourth Cantonese album, majority is pop-rock materials. The hits Really Love you (Cen Dik Oi Nei) is the mainstream success, also available in Mandarin version retitled as Ni Zidao Wo De Miwang. This song is Beyond most popular hit in Indonesia. The other hits are track #7, Cin Ci Je Si Passing Day, which is from "Naughty Gemini" radio drama.

Overall Beyond raising their pop level, making this album actually easy listening. After few spin it will be all become memorable. Unfortunately the rest of the song did not get much play.

The third professional studio album by Beyond. This album considered their breakthrough. They had success bringing hard rock music into the mainstream. The album consisted numbers of hits. The first song, Cung Hoi Jat Cai (not sure how to translate this...it literally mean "to open"...) is heavy. The guitar intro is classic. Secret Police also heavy song, the intro riffs is awesome and the song sing under galloping bass line. Goodbye Faith repeated their first album, re-arranged, mixed with better guitar sounds and shorter than original. The Earth (Tai Di) is one of Beyond most popular songs. Followed by Hei Fun Nei / Love You. Both are extremely popular later.  未知賽事的長跑 (Mei Zi Coi Si Dik Coeng Paau) - Unknown Long-Distance Run, is heavy song ala Iron Maiden in the beginning. The last song Jyun Ngo Nang - Wish I Could is also familiar to ear. All the rest seems filler only.

The second Cantonese album. Beyond was still a five piece band, the other former member are Lau Chi Yuen (Liu Zhiyuan) and Dang Wai Him. Overall this album put down most of their hard rock style as in their previous album, bringing more pop-rock sounds on board.

Old Footprints (舊日的足跡 or Yesterday's Footprints) is a direct adaptation to its 1986 version from their self produced album. Crimson Blood has a nice groove, a regular playlist. Triumph In The Skies is a minor feel rock song. Cold Rainy Night is a popular song that in regular playlist. Modern Stage is a happy Hong Kong dance rock song, not much being played later. The other four songs did not have much memorable moment, can considered as filler only.

Modern Stage saw Beyond begin to reach wider audience by lowering their hard rock styles. Although then, this album very enjoyable with all songs easily become memorable after few spin.

This is the first full professional studio album by Beyond. It is in Cantonese. Overall this album still has a thick hard rock root. The hit Arabian Dancing Girl bring Beyond to their first door of success. Noted that former member  Dang Wai Him and Lau Chi Yuen may still present in the band, as they are listed as member until 1988.

This album highly influence by Oriental Eastern scale. The first track Oriental Treasures is the direct adaptation of Long Way Without Friends from their previous album. Dune Witch (literally mean Demon Woman from the Desert) is a highly energetic Easter scale hard rock, I am not sure why this song didn't make it into Beyond repertoire. Dance From the Past (昔日舞曲) is the second hit that made it into Beyond repertoire. Silent Farewell is still in their original unpolished version, but later this song will be have regular play. Passing to Present is showing Yip Sai Wing great drumming. There are not much hits from the rest of the repertoire. 

The album did not do very well in the market where hard rock is too much for mainstream audience.

Arabian Dancing Girl is adapted into Mandarin version with different lyric and title, become 射手座咒語Shèshǒu zuò zhòuyǔ Sagittarius spell. It is on the album The Glorious Years.

This is Beyond first self finance album. Not really considered as their official studio album. The sign of Beyond diverse rock style and modern approach already present. 

If you haven't listen to this, do it now! This is Beyond most original sounds which is deeply root in hard rock and blues. It was no surprise that this album did not make it into mainstream Cantonese music listener. This was so underground. The hits is in Goodbye Faith, where it was regularly played on concert. Then Yesterday's Footprints (Old Footprints) is also a regular play. In 2005, all three member resurrected the first track Waiting Forever, a very hard rock in nature.  Long Way Without Friends  is oldies blues song, where the guitar is shredding all the way. This song will later adopted into their first professional album re-titled and re-arranged as Oriental Treasures. Most of other songs were forgotten by fans and the band.
