Beyond-Amani.blogspot.com is a blog tribute for Beyond 超越, the greatest rock band from Hong Kong. This is the band that turned Hong Kong rock n roll music in the late '80s. The quartet then suffered the most tragic lost when Wong Ka Kui, founder singer and guitarist of the band, die in stage accident in 1993. The band continue the legacy as a trio and their popularity even greater ever.
If you found this website you must be Beyond fans by now. This blog try to reach the English speaker and Indonesian speaker Beyond fans around the world. There is enough web resources for Beyond-ology but mostly only available in Mandarin / Cantonese, so this blog try to fills in English language. I am Beyond fans from Indonesia, and listen to Beyond for most of the '90s.
This blog try to listed out all Beyond discography. As we know, it is very difficult to build a comprehensive discography for Hong Kong artist, because they just produced a lot and created a lot version of it also. Basically the 'canon' of Beyond discography can be divided into five categories:

All known albums from Beyond will be posted in this blog. The other important information is, this blog try to give translation of what Beyond song titled mean. Some of the songs officially given English title (such as Amani, Cryin' etc.), some given an official translations (such as Sea & Sky, Corrupt the Young, The Glorious Days). For most of the song, there is no official translations, and as we know, Mandarin and Cantonese phrases is very difficult to translate into English language, without losing its proper meaning which only make senses in their original language. Most of the time I used Google translate to do the job and cross check whether this translation come close to the meaning.
I will also try to give the Pinyin for each title. In Indonesia, some of the song are popular just by its Mandarin title. The case is Cantonese titles will not works in Pinyin, and I did not speak Cantonese. If you are Cantonese reader, please help on giving Romanization of the titles.
